This last Saturday, our family had so much fun volunteering at the Back To The 80’s themed, family (and dog) friendly 5K run at Jefferson College.
Co-hosted by the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce & VonArx Engineering, about 100 rad race participants and vibrant volunteers gathered to walk, run, dance, laugh, and support one another as we all helped our cool community.
Here were our top 5 favorite fantabulous things about this 5K event:
- Being outside in the outstanding morning weather as the sun woke up with us.
- Blasting bodacious epic 80’s tunes while we cheered runners on at our hydration station.
- Admiring all the attractive retro 80’s outfits.
- Helping to donate an impressive amount of supplies to Brenden’s Friday Backpack and Hillsboro Schools.
- Socializing with all the totally tubular people!
Thank you to all the fabulous folks who showed up to show each other why this community is so cool. MORE PICS:
After the race, we had the most remarkable sweet treats and sweet service at Lala’s Roast and Bistro. My kiddos devoured the sweet bear claw and cherry cheese danishes.
They also loved every sweet drop of their iced blue raspberry and watermelon cooler drinks with shark gummies and watermelon popping Boba.
I loved every sweet drop of my super indulgently specialized super-diva iced dirty chai pumpkin latte with oat milk with a frothy caramel cold foam! Lala, thanks for making me feel so special with this kind of customization.
Our family feels so grateful to live in such a special community.
