Acquiring Space

Acorns in Festus, MO

Acorns aplenty! Our neighborhood squirrels are loving this abundant time of year.

Like any nut/fruit producing tree, the oak tree must release the mature acorns, ready to fall, in order to have the space and energy to create new acorns.

Like most things in nature, we can capture lessons to apply in our life. We can learn from the organic changes of seasons. It is all so glorious the way nature seems to peacefully and gracefully make itty-bitty, incremental changes that we hardly recognize within each passing moment. And then, all of a sudden, we take note of the fresh, brand new green acorns.

If we look down, we can also find the dry, older brown acorns laying on the ground, ready for the squirrels to carry them away. Nature is always renewing and always replenishing. We have the power to do so, as well.

Last week I wrote about releasing the itty-bitty pebbles in our life.

To further reflect on that, when we are intentional to let go of stories that no longer serve us, those negative, limiting beliefs, and internal roadblocks, we can acquire space for the new ideas, thoughts, and behaviors that better align with our ideal self…who we really want to be.

“To let go is to release the images and emotions, the grudges and fears, the clingings and disappointments of the past that bind our spirit.”

For every choice we make, for every trade-off we agree to, we always give something up to get something different.

What might you release to create more mental bandwidth?

What trade-offs are you ready to agree to and move forward with?

Your Festus community supports your decisions to BE who you really want to be.

As always, your help to share this, and your reflections, on social media is so helpful for others to relate.

This is a non-paid endorsement inviting you to acquire the space you need to BE you.

Our neighborhood squirrels really do have a personality:
