Admirable Talent in “The Addams Family” Musical:

Festus Middle School Musical

Many of our admirable and talented Festus 7th and 8th grade students have been immersed in the creation of their musical production, “The Addams Family Young@Part.”

They will perform five shows, with opening night on Thursday, February 1st at 7:00 pm.

I am fortunate to know one of these admirably talented students!

She provided some behind-the-scenes pictures and offered some itty-bitty details about the show.

From my 7th grade performer:

“Hi, I would like to give you a preview of “The Addams Family” musical production put on by the 7th and 8th grade Festus Middle School students, lead by Mrs. Ganey.

Here’s what you can expect:

The musical will have a bunch of catchy songs and music.

There will also be a bunch of dancing and singing.

The play could either make you laugh or cry.

A girl named Wednesday falls in love with a boy named Lucas.

She wants to get married to him, but her mother, Morticia, does not know.

Her father, Gomez, does.

There is fun family drama.

This musical is super duper interesting and I think you should come and see the show.

You will love it!!!

Thank you for your support.”

All performances are open to the public and will be at the impressive Festus Performing Arts Center.

All shows have a $5 (cash only) admission, which supports this admirable theater program.

Performances are:

  •  Thursday, February 1 at 7:00 pm
  •  Friday, February 2 at 7:00 pm
  •  Sunday, February 4 at 2:00 pm
