Jenn O’Donnell, DNP, FNP-C and Kaylin Wessel, MSN, FNP-BC recently opened Balanced Wellness in May of 2023. They specialize in three areas of focus:

Whether someone is crystal clear on their health objectives, or are just feeling “off” and confused, Jenn and Kaylin offer solutions for people to regain balance on many levels of their life. They work with clients with short and long-term needs.

Or, maybe someone is recovering from an ailment, sickness or from partying just a little too hard. Other folks are looking to make real changes in their life to regulate how their mind and body perform. Jenn and Kaylin support sustainable choices while developing lasting relationships with their clients, regardless of their short or long-term goals.
Jenn and Kaylin have developed their own lasting friendship, which started within the healthcare and medical arena. They met years ago while working in an Urgent Care clinic. Even though they were always dancing and having fun with their team and patients, they sadly witnessed too many people come in far too often with the same disturbing symptoms and a lack of stability with their health. They each felt compelled to use their education, experience and passion to provide healthy solutions. They shared similar values in their viewpoints of how people could be happier, healthier and more balanced with a more holistic approach.
In addition to the benefits they see when individuals feel a sense of balance, Jenn and Kaylin see the importance of balance within family units and with our community culture. Both business owners make conscious effort to follow their own advice in their professional and personal lives. They strive to take time out for their own self-care, as well as care for their pets and family. Jenn and Kaylin each have strong military family backgrounds and roots in Jefferson County. They are intentional to work with local Jefferson County businesses to strategically create partners for their own personal and business needs. They are eager to get to know more people as they consider Jefferson County residents to be “their people,” an extension of their family.
Conveniently located in Jefferson County, on North Truman Blvd. in Crystal City, Balanced Wellness is close to many businesses like Twin City Monument, Twin City Car Wash, Iguana’s Mexican Grill and Main Street Café. Jenn and Kaylin have created a serene space on the upper level of their building. They carefully chose each paint color, piece of furniture and other aesthetic elements of decor to generate a tranquil and calm space for people to feel relaxed and at ease in. There are several areas to provide privacy for a peaceful experience.
In addition to planning out a positive energy experience within the atmosphere of their medical spa, they also planned out every detail to create a seamless preliminary experience for perspective clients and curious minds. They have a thorough website outlining their services and more information about them. If someone is interested in setting up a one-time service, or an initial consultation (which includes a full blood panel), they can conveniently schedule their appointment from the comfort of their own home, or effortlessly on their mobile device. From there, they send a text and email confirmation, as well as an email with consent information/medical forms for one to easily fill out electronically. This saves time, energy, paper and makes our Earth smile.
In addition to the carefully thought-out location, décor and technology that makes clients smile, Jenn and Kaylin are thoughtful with each person they interact with. They each have a gentle, loving and considerate spirit with a nonjudgmental approach. They take the time to ask the right questions, while attentively listen to what people have to say.
