Bring on the pumpkin latte!!! Iced or hot, I will savor this kind of fall treat right about now! Spooky Halloween energy at this point in September…ummmmm, I’m not quite ready for that. While it feels a little early for Halloween, if you ARE looking to get into a spooky and eerie kind of energy, checking out the new, dark fantasy comedy, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, in the movie theaters may be just the treat you need.
It was a treat to rewatch the first 1988 Beetlejuice the night before we saw the second Beetlejuice movie. While I may have watched the original back when I was an itty-bitty kid, as an adult, I sure needed the refresher. And, might I add, a young Alec Baldwin on the screen was quite refreshing, as well.
Like the original, Michael Keaton brought fresh antics and his silly shenanigans as “Mr. Juice” to the second Beetlejuice. He teamed up, once again, with the gothic Winona Ryder and the witty Catherine O’Hara for this sequel. If you find amusement in the possibilities of the afterlife, and/or appreciate the artistic creativity and unique perspective of Tim Burton, you will get a kick out of this movie.
For multiple perspectives, check out what my kiddos had to say, in their own words:
“Hi, my name is Audrey (age 13). We love going to B&B movie theaters and getting yummy popcorn first! For Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, you can expect some actors, scenes, costumes, and songs from the original movie. I do not like scary horror movies but this was such a good movie. I thought it was very gory and graphic, but in a good way. I hope you enjoy it!”
“My name is Dayton (age 10). If you see the new Beetlejuice movie, you can expect a lot of plot twists. There is a tiny bit of romance. There is a lot of drama, death, and blood…lots of blood. It is very graphic and the scenes are very realistic. I wouldn’t recommend eating anything because you might just spill your lunch! But, I hope you do see the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movie.”
This is a triple non-paid endorsement for you to check out the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movie. Bonus points for supporting our local, cozy, and convenient B&B Theatres in Festus, Missouri.
Double bonus points if you create a local, cozy, and convenient coffee shop INSIDE a movie theater! Wouldn’t that be cool (especially if you like your coffee iced…haha!)? Cold or hot, bring on the pumpkin latte while I recline in a heated seat at the movie theater. THAT is the kind of delicious fantasy treat I would like to savor as a reality!
TRIPLE bonus points if you share this post/link + your thoughts in the comments on social media…what do you love about B&B…or Beetlejuice…or a young Alec Baldwin?
