Camels and birds and sloths, Oh My!
It is incredible to think that animal lovers of all ages can take a short, scenic 25-minute ride outside of Festus, MO to feed, pet and ride over 300 live, exotic animals at Critter Lane Petting Zoo.
Open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM – 6 PM, our family LOVES spending time here. There are a variety of different “stations” for kids, teenagers and adults to explore. Plenty of open space to run around, old-fashioned rides (including live animals), unique animals to hold and feed, and so much more.
While these pictures were taken a couple years ago, our family is looking forward to returning this spring and summer to snuggle with their sweet sloths with their newer “sloth encounter” experience.
I was impressed to learn Critter Lane Petting Zoo is a “Verified Professional Member, in good standing, as set forth by the National Animal Welfare Association.” Anyone who was as obsessed as I was in 2020 with the “Tiger King” Netflix documentary knows how important this is.
Critter Lane Petting Zoo invites individuals and families to enjoy all they have to offer with affordable daily admission (itty-bitty kiddos, ages two and under, are free!) and season passes. They also provide group discounts and birthday party package specials.
