My children and I felt cool and free on Independence Day with the magic of the movies at our favorite local movie theater, B&B Theatres, in Festus, Missouri.
We smiled and laughed watching the Minion shenanigans in the animated comedy of another Despicable Me movie.
Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig hilariously teamed up again, adding Will Ferrell and Sophia Vergara to the cast for yet another funny, adventure-filled and heartwarming film.
While this is the fourth movie in the Despicable Me series, the storyline stands alone, so it is not necessary to have to see all three movies in order to enjoy this flick. I rate this movie at 9 out of 10.
Here is what my kiddos had to say our fun and free movie experience, in their own words:
“Hi, my name is Audrey (age 13) and I am going to tell you a little about the movie. It was so, so good. I wondered if this was going to be bad, but it was so good. The graphics were really good, the quality was amazing. It was super funny and you will get a little throwback from the other movies. I rate it a 10 out of 10.”
“Hi, my name is Dayton (age 10) and I rate the movie a 14 out of 10! Usually I would talk about the movie but since my sister said how great it was, right now I’m going to tell you about how great the movie theater was. First of all, my seat was very comfortable. It reclined back very far. I was impressed that you can even have a heater on your seat, or you can turn it off if you want to be cool.
If you are thirsty, you can get a drink from the wide selection of delicious, cold drinks. They are so good and refreshing.
If you’re hungry, you can get crispy, salty, buttery popcorn, and you can put extra butter on it.
Or, you can get no butter at all. You can put so much seasoning on that it can be the saltiest, or sweetest, thing you’ve ever experienced.
Or, you don’t even need to have anything on it. Just enjoy normal popcorn.
If you are looking for something sweet or sour, you can get some delicious candy. There is so much…from sour gummies to chocolate covered mints.
If you’re interested, you can sit in the lobby, or you can play all different kinds of games. Their bathrooms are squeaky clean, too. This was my experience. Bye.”
