Anna Mayer with Revival INK has recently elevated her business to a new level by opening up a new space in a new location, on the lower level of 2B Oak Street in Festus, Missouri.

Have you ever met someone who is so authentically them self, it makes you want to look within to explore if you are being authentic in who you are/how you show up in the world? A person who exudes a genuinely non-judgmental energy that allows you to feel comfortable in your own skin, yet curious for a little more? 
This is how I would describe Anna Mayer, owner of Revival INK. While I have only known Anna for a month, this is how I felt after spending seven hours with her, getting my face tattooed a.k.a. permanent makeup applied. Having someone add permanent ink to your face is no joke and I wanted to share my experience…
I have thought about permanent cosmetic facial enhancements for years. My friend, Jennifer, had this done in Wisconsin and I have always admired how beautiful she looks. I have naturally blonde hair, virtually non-existent blonde eyebrows, light eye lashes and pale lips. I would rather not spend my precious time applying much make-up, but would also like to look presentable. When getting my hair done by Alexandria Kite at Vinty Salon & Med Spa, she told me about Anna Mayer.
I contacted Anna to schedule a free consultation to learn more. The upper floor of Vinty’s MedSpa is just as impressively decorated as the lower salon level. The elegant décor with natural, earthy colors provide a luxurious yet comforting atmosphere.
Since Anna was helping another client with teeth whitening before my appointment, I took advantage of brewing myself a mug of fresh coffee at the MedSpa’s beverage bar and walked around to admire the gorgeous wall paintings by Kenzie Wolk.
Anna took time to answer my questions, explain options while showing me pictures and the different tools she uses. Anna talked me through the entire process. I was confident and super excited to schedule my appointment.
Anna did a lovely “reel”/video of my immediate before and after pictures, as well as a thorough write-up of the work she performed on her Revival INK Facebook and Instagram pages. In summary, I had my eyebrows, eyeliner and lip color tattooed on.
Anna paid attention to all the itty-bitty details to ensure my needs were met. Her room was the perfect temperature. I was extra cozy with a pillow, blanket and hand warmers! Anna showed me everything she was doing, always asking for my approval to move forward. In addition to Anna applying a numbing agent, Dr. Kylie Melton with The Aesthetic Clinic came in to numb my lips. She was so sweet! I felt no pain, just a little temporary discomfort and eye watering with the eyeliner. Throughout the seven-hour session, we took several breaks to eat (Anna provided yummy snacks!), use the restroom and stretch out. As I had hoped, it was a thrilling and satisfying day.
During our time together, I felt completely at-ease and loved learning more about Anna. As a licensed tattoo artist, Anna takes her work extremely seriously. Having an education and career in the dental industry, as well as owning a jewelry making business in the past, Anna brings her eye for precision and affection for helping people to the forefront with her current clients.
In addition to fostering connections with those she works with, she also nurtures the relationships in her family. Anna grew up in the R-7/Festus area and currently resides in Bailey Station with her husband, Ben, and their children. 
Anna is an engaged, fun and proud mother who carves time out to bond with her kids over fancy dinners at home and watching baking shows before bed. We talked about the Festus-area community. Their family enjoys dining locally at Pedal’n Pi, Thai Rama and Pogolino’s in Festus. Anna and her husband savor date nights and live music at Taytro’s Bar & Bistro and Gene’s Country Club.
If someone gave Anna $202.30 to spend in the Festus area, she would have a hard time narrowing down where to go/what to do. She ultimately answered that she would get services done at Vinty Beauty Bar, go shopping at Farmhouse Style Boutique and Modern Perspective, grab a bite to eat at The Braided Bakery and get a drink from The Corner Cup Micro Bakery. P.S…to The Corner Cup team…Anna is the biggest fan of the “Tulip Matcha” drink.
Anna also has a passion for life that is contagious. Her unique personality blends that of an innovative, trendy, risk-taker soul with a composed, chill, and tender vibe. This combination allows those in her presence to feel comfortable to let their guard down and be real.
With Anna’s talented work and inspiration, I love looking and feeling more real and natural. The picture of me is from the 8th day since my session with Anna. I feel healed and am adoring the evened-out colors and tones. I will be going back in three weeks for my touch up/“perfecting” session.
