Senior Care Solutions, privately owned and operated, provides temporary or long-term services to Elders in a setting that looks and feels like their own home. Our first house, The Collins House, opened in January of 2024 and is at the corner of West Main Street and Collins Drive.
The Collins House is a large, one-story home with a full walkout lower level. The main level, licensed as a Level 2 Assisted Living home, offers 4 spacious private or semi-private bedrooms with individual bathrooms equipped with zero-entry showers. The house offers ample common areas including a kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, hearth room, informal and formal living areas, and access to several outdoor spaces.
The lower level houses our adult day program and offers a safe and secure, home-like environment, and allows caregivers to take time to themselves for the day. The lower level offers common areas including a kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, living area, and access to an outdoor space. Also included on the lower level is a quiet room, a large activities room, and a fitness area. The adult day program is equipped to meet individual needs for people with memory loss, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease.
The traditional nursing home model does not appeal to the majority of people as they age. Large, big box facilities are often too large to provide our unique personal and individual care model. Many others advertise services being patient-centered, but at Senior Care Solutions we ARE person centered AND person driven.

We are privately owned and operated by an Occupational Therapist. That is what sets us apart from the others. Dr. Oppermann received her clinical doctorate degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 2003.
She has worked across skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, outpatient care clinics, and continuous care retirement communities. She has a passion for clinical leadership, education, and program development; and has a passion for caring for the elderly. The values and specialized education of an Occupational Therapist includes ongoing clinical assessment and helping individuals live a quality life while engaging in tasks and activities that are meaningful to them.
Our team consists of care partners who are specially trained to meet your needs, or the individual needs of a loved one. They undergo specialized and ongoing training that surpasses state requirements to ensure they are equipped to meet the needs of those they serve. We invest in our team because you invest, and trust, in us.
You are not going to find another home that offers our level of expertise, individual care, and professional credentials. Our Elders, all of which previously resided in traditional nursing homes, can attest to our small-home design model. We have moved people in from traditional, big box facilities and helped them begin living their lives again.
The families of our day program participants can speak to the positive impact our daytime respite program has made in both their own lives, and in the lives of their loved ones. Our day program has helped people stay at home longer despite memory loss, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, depression, loneliness, and isolation. You are not going to find any other home, or adult day program, in our state, that serves people the way we serve our Elders and their families.
