With Twin City days happening this last weekend, I wanted to highlight one of my favorite local restaurants, and how supporting our local people and places creates a positive bond within our community:
A brick block is solid and firm, strong on its own; however, when multiple bricks are united and held together, they are an even stronger force to be reckoned with. While The Brick Bistro & Brew is an independently, strong, locally-owned establishment in its own right, their combined forces with other small businesses on our charming and historic Festus Main Street provide strength and support to our community. This is the energy that creates a culture we are all proud of, and quite the force to be reckoned with.
The Brick Bistro & Brew is a restaurant/bar/coffee shop/hangout. It is trendy, hip and cool. They mix colorful, eclectic, rustic and vintage art and elements throughout their warm and welcoming dining room. Their friendly team also exudes a helpful energy when welcoming you in, no matter why you may be stopping in.

I have enjoyed MANY meals here. While there recently, having dinner with a friend, I observed a cute family dining in…with an itty-bitty baby and grandparents laughing. A sweet, young couple sat at the bar while another gentleman waited to take an order of food to go. My friend and I each savored some tasty salads. They also offer an array of delicious appetizers, sandwiches, soups, street tacos, smash burgers, pizzas, and more. Their food and drinks are unique with their combination of flavors to create a memorable meal and experience that will make you want to return again.
It is in our returned, consistent visits to our small, locally-owned businesses that make our community stronger. By embracing small businesses, you have an opportunity to feel the positive energy of a united community. It is easy to take elements like bricks and strong structures in our life for granted. I invite you to support our establishments, and their teams, who hold us all up.
