The Corner Cup Micro Bakery, located on our charming, historic Festus Main Street functions like a cherished mouse hole home for each of us. It is a treasured getaway from the rest of the world.
Mouse holes, from the outside looking in, look similar. The Corner Cup Micro Bakery may appear to be like a regular mouse home/door of a coffee shop but inside is a cozy haven for true comfort and connection. While micro is in the name, it is a magical, macro place where one can feel refueled and at home, regardless of your mouse demeanor.
Like a page out of a story book, the inner decor exudes pure decadent sweetness. French-country vibes couple with cute vintage elements to create a delightful space with a welcoming energy. Whether you engage with the enchantment of dining inside, perhaps next to their fireplace, or take a treat to go, a fairy tale feeling will follow you.
As a first-time visitor, Amanda was helpful to tell me more about this sweet spot. Locally and family owned and operated by she and her sister, they take great pride in the culture they have cultivated within the walls of The Corner Cup Micro Bakery.
Early each morning, they have a counter full of scrumptious bakery treats. They offer monthly specials for folks to experience a variety of different drink flavors. Their team also customizes a flight of four small drinks to explore their many genius creations.
I tried one of their most popular seasonal offerings: the famous “Tulip Matcha” drink. This is a heavenly, creamy iced pistachio matcha with a strawberry-flavored cold foam. I savored every fragrant drop and wanted to order another one once I was finished. Next time, I may need to drink one inside and take one to-go.
As a little mouse listening in, I also heard Amanda talk to someone who was getting multiple drinks to-go. She said they can provide separate cups of ice, on the side, to allow for drinks to be transported and enjoyed at a later time. These perks, and their focus to ensure each person has a sweet experience, invites me to keep returning to explore what they will offer next.
