December tends to be a month when I need to make a lot of decisions.
There is so much more I need to fit into my schedule with extra concerts, social engagements, decorating, gift-buying and wrapping, holiday cards, hostess gifts, travel arrangement, etc., etc…the list goes on and on.
Decision fatigue is a real thing.
I have found when I “declare a decision,” it helps my brain, energy, and confidence.
Regardless of what time of year, or how big or itty-bitty the decision is, I have discovered every time I make a real decision, a full-hearted, absolutely, 100% firm commitment to that choice, it all magically works out.
Once I stop over-thinking something, when stop wavering back-and-forth on what I am going to do (or buy, or wear, or bring, or… )…once I actually, truly, unapologetically, MAKE A CHOICE that works for me, the magic begins.
The attraction of people, places, events, circumstances all align to create the energy for everything to work out. Additionally, the excess of what I no longer need to think about, or focus on, is repelled away, gone from my brain.
When I reflect on most every minor, and major, milestone-decision I have made in my life, I have found that once I declare my decision, and genuinely believe something is to be true, it is…
It just IS.
It works.
It all comes together and flows.
Therefore, I declare December will be a month to have a schedule that flows because I intend to MAKE decisions.
I am going to commit to deciding and moving on, trusting all will work out.
Might there be something you can decide on, to allow your brain to move on from?
This is a non-paid endorsement inviting you to practice declaring a decision to free up your mental bandwidth. May this power be with you during your busy December, and as you carry peace into the new year.
I like to think of my decisions like rocks that I can carry around. They are firm and solid, yet moveable.
For example, if I declare a decision that I will eat healthy over the holidays, that does not mean I must limit myself to eating at home. I can carry this solid decision with me and make healthy choices when dining out.
Or, if I decide to practice a new habit, I can be firm in my decision to do so, while being creative to bring the habit with me when I travel, even if that means reducing the time I spend performing that activity.
I can decide to flow with a different schedule this month, while being firm in my decision.

Ultimately, it’s only when we loosen our grip, that we set ourselves free.”

I would love to know/hear your story on social media…do you have any examples when you felt more free and/or something fell into place once you declared a decision?
Thank you for taking the time out to decide who else needs to read this, and sharing this link with them.
These pictures were taken this fall in our Festus, MO subdivision, as my son and I were waiting for the morning school bus.
