I am a proud member, sharing this itty-bitty, non-paid endorsement, expressing my excitement for the HTA mission!

✨ Read about my first time attending a HTA meeting last year (when it was at the Heuby E. Moore historic band building), and check out the other links to learn more about this fun and impactful organization:✨

Heuby E. Moore historic band building in Festus, MO.
Imagine a small room in an itty-bitty historic brick building, in an enchanting little city. The room is filled with lovers of history and visionaries of the future.

People talk and laugh, drawn together by their shared pride and passion for their community. They take a night out to collaborate on revitalizing the potential of their city, with an emphasis on their Main Street.

This room is filled with people who believe that, with a universal effort and a cohesive plan, change can happen. The folks who gather vary in age. Some are citizens and some are business owners. There are lifelong residents and those new to the area. All are meeting to work together to further restore a charming Main Street that means so much to so many.

While this imagery sounds dreamlike, it was the reality of the room inside the historic Heuby E. Moore Band Building last night during The Historic Tanglefoot Association General Meeting.
I am a new kid on the block, in this city. Aware that this meeting was open to the public, I showed up last night, curious to learn more. As a nonprofit organization, The Historic Tanglefoot Association is comprised of optimistic members who are on a mission to revitalize the Festus, Missouri Main Street/Crystal City Bailey Road area.

They have identified seven areas to make positive improvements for the betterment of our community in:

  • Design/History
  • Marketing/Social Media
  • Organization/Membership
  • Corporate Partnership/Sponsorship
  • Volunteerism/Community Outreach
  • Arts/Events
  • Small Business Development/Economic Vitality
If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to join in on the fun camaraderie and progressive initiatives.

There are general meetings open to the public. I hope to see/meet you there.

This is a non-paid endorsement, supporting our Festus-area community and encouraging you to connect with others to turn imaginary dreams into reality.
