The Nonprofit Organization: CHAMP Assistance Dogs

CHAMP Assistance Dogs Programs in Missouri

A few weeks ago, I was fortunate to learn more about the nonprofit organization: Champ Assistance Dogs when their Director of Education, Jacqui Zancanta, spoke at our Twin City Area Optimist Club.

CHAMP Assistance Dogs is a team who believes in the healing power dogs have to improve the lives of people in our community. They work within a 50 mile radius around St. Louis, MO to provide dog training and placement within:

  • Assistance Dog Programs
  • Prison Programs
  • Therapy Dog Programs
  • Education Programs

At the time of this presentation, their 2023 numbers were already impressive:

  • Educating 40,000 children in 2023
  • 22 dogs in training
  • 9 puppies needing foster homes/training
  • 26 working/placed dogs, 6 of them helping children

This is a non-paid endorsement encouraging you to learn more about Champ Assistance Dogs

They are always in need of volunteers, foster home and monetary/event support. Your itty-bitty help can add to the big impact this organization is making.
