The powerful recent storm knocked down so many trees in the Festus, MO area. I mourn some of my favorite neighborhood trees, now lonely stumps. I admire the intricate magnificence of the beauty in the tree rings, honoring the life it lived. Like the seasons in our life, each itty-bitty tree ring represents growth through a passage of time.
