When we believe we are worthy of goodness in our life, good things happen.
I was recently talking with my 12-year-old daughter, Audrey, about this word. We have “words of the day” as a way to start our day.
I LOVE hearing my children’s perspectives on what words mean, as well as discuss how we can apply these concepts into our day, and/or our life.
When asking her to define what worthy means, she quickly and effortlessly said,
“When you’re good enough.”
I replied, “Well, how do you know you’re good enough?”
She said, “Because you practice.”
I was like “BOOM!”… that IS IT!
Audrey did not say you are worthy enough or good enough when you receive an award, or a prize, or when someone tells you that you are, she said you are good and worthy enough when you practice.
For me, this simple definition is uplifting, energizing, and makes practicing my worthiness feel possible.
If we can practice how we think about our self-worth, correlating that with how we act, within our time (habits) and energy (beliefs), perhaps we can work to increase our worthiness to allow and receive the goodness we deserve.
When we work to think and act that we ARE worthy, we practice feeling worthy.
Like anything, when we practice something with consistency and repetition, we master it.
When we are new at any practice, itty-bitty reminders are helpful.
I love writing myself, and others, motivational notes.
Writing inspiration allows me to practice having an inspiring thought.
Reading inspirations allow me to practice an inspired choice
Living out my inspirations allows me to feel worthy.
This is a non-paid endorsement inviting you to explore if you could incorporate a practice to shift your time and energy to feel more worthy.
YOU deserve all the goodness this life has to offer.
P.S. Might you be able to write your child, partner, co-worker, neighbor, server, or even a stranger, an itty-bitty inspirational note? It could be totally random, hidden, or even anonymous! I bet it would bring an itty-bitty smile to their face.
P.P.S. We would LOVE for you to share any pictures of your notes in the comments on social media. THIS is a way you can be inspirational for all of us.
Thank you for reading and sharing.
